As I had never driven a vehicle larger than a van I was very nervous about attaining my HR license but the whole process was made so much easier due to the knowledge professionalism and understanding of my trainer Michael.  I couldn’t believe that with the help of Michael even though I had no previous experience of truck driving I still managed to pass my HR accreditation in one day.  Not only was my assessor professional he was very approachable and down to earth which was very appreciated. First of all let me say what a fantastic experience. The Roadranger gearbox was not easy to master. Thanks to the professionalism and patience of Michael my instructor I passed the assessment and training. Let me say anybody who does this course in the Roadranger gearbox must have patience as it is well worth it in the end. Mark my words I will be back next year to do the heavy combination training and assessment. A big thank you to Michael as you through this assessment and training have given me a real boost of confidence which I thought I never had. If anybody is looking to upgrade to a truck licence then I will send them your way. In no way did I ever feel uncomfortable by Michael, as I was taught the criteria that I must perform so there was no surprises. Michael my instructor always made clear what was expected of me so the assessment would be focused on what i had been learning. My instructor Michael made it clear as to whether I was competent or not and gave me feedback on what needed improving. Speaking for me personally I would say that the training provided by Alltruck Driver Training was second to none and it suited me to a tea. I don’t think improvement is necessary for the training as the instructor Michael made everything clear to me from the start and I knew what to expect. Other applicants may have a different view. I think the current training methods and assessment worked for my circumstances.

One of the most useful things I learnt on the day was looking at a Maxi brake chamber and being told two air lines means Maxi brake.  Learning about truck brakes was fantastic.  I was actually surprised at how articulate my assessor was. A prerequisite for my new career was to hold a LR or higher class NSW Drivers Licence. Having never really had any experience driving a heavy vehicle I contacted a number of RMS Registered Training Organisations to complete the Heavy Vehicle Competency Based Assessment and came across Janice from Alltruck Driver Training. She was absolutely fantastic and helpful and promptly replied to my emails, and was so accommodating. When it came to do the training I was already at ease. Then I met Eric who conducted the training and he was amazing and very helpful and knowledgeable and put me through everything required by the RMS. The next day I as assessed by Kurt. As you know such assessments can create a little bit of stress and anxiety but Kurt was very professional and made me feel comfortable and at ease. So if you’re in need of obtaining a HV Licence look no further Alltruck Driver Training is the one.

My driving instructor – Michael, and Eric – the assessor, have extensive knowledge of the heavy vehicle industry and decades of training experience. Even though I’ve never driven a truck before I booked this training, and was (naturally) quite nervous at the beginning of the course, I felt prepared and confident in my abilities during the Final Assessment stage.
